I admit the title sounds a little misleading because it’s actually a music festival of creatively comedic bands. Now that sounds like my kind of music.
There were many creative new artists that performed this past weekend. The first artist I met there was Rappy McRapperson. He was a real nice guy. After seeing my shirt, which is about my blog, he said that a lot of creative thinkers come to this convention. Rappy’s music was creative. There was a lot of talk about fighting the Gorlax throughout the album, which took me awhile to figure out.

Another creative group I met was called Kirby Krackle. Their music is based on video games and comic books. They asked me which I was more into. I couldn’t really favor one over the other, so I just said a bit of both. Kirby Krackle had two albums. The one I got was a creative take on various Nintendo characters from Super Mario Bros. and Legend of Zelda, as well as some Marvel superheroes like Iron Man.

One group that was real amazing on stage was HD Ninja. Each member was dressed as a different type of ninja and sang about being ninja warriors and playing role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. Now I may not understand that version of D&D, but it felt like a gap was filled in during the concert. I mean, let’s face it. You can’t have a convention like this without mentioning fantasy adventure, right?
Overall, I had a good time at Nerdapalooza. I think it’s nice to see creative bands performing their own material.
